Learn the basics of carpentry and tools needed for most home projects. Covered in this session:
1) Types of carpentry: framing, basic cabinetry, trim work, hobby building
2) Tools of the trade: pencil, level, speed square, tape measure, saw (hand vs. power), mitre box, hammer, drill, glue, clamps
3) Demonstration:
• Using a mitre box: cutting straight lines, measuring angles, cutting angles
• Trimming a window: selecting trim, different cuts for different trim, fastening trim, caulking joints vs coping

Ladies Night: Sunday, October 23, 2022, 5pm – 7pm
